It was one of those days that perfectly sums up life in the PNW.
It was peak salmon fishing season, so if you know me… I drove my OWN car to the dock that afternoon, so that i could leave a bit early. I literally stepped off the boat; hair tangled from the wind and headed straight to this session. I like to make a great first impression, ya know.
The sun was doing that thing the PNW does in August - warm, golden light that smells like summer but feels more like fall. And YES, I was still wearing my snowboarding jacket - because if you know anything about the PNW, you know we dress for all four seasons at any given moment.
When I arrived, i felt that familiar spark. The kind that reminds me why I LOVE this “job” so much! Some sessions just really feed your creative soul and this was one of them. The connection, the laughter, and the light all aligned perfectly.
I drove home with a full heart and a even fuller memory card. It was a great reminder that photography, for me isn’t just something I do - it’s something I feel and I’m so grateful for every single person who has allowed me to capture even a small chapter of their lives.
