Welcome
Hello, I am so excited to work you. I would love to take this time to formally introduce myself to you.
I'm Sarah. I'm a wife and a mother of three children. Through my family I've discovered a lot of things about myself. I have always loved photos, I remember begging my parents for disposable cameras and doing extra things around the house to earn money , just so I could get the film developed. I remember, being so excited after getting my first job at Safeway , because i was finally able afford to buy my first digital camera. One of the things that my family has taught me is how big my love for photography actually was. When my first son was born, I was taking photos everyday and finally was gifted my first DSLR. It took me a couple of years to actually pick it up and use it, but one day, I finally did. Today, you will rarely find me without my camera by my side. To me, photography is so much more than clicking a button. I love the ability to capture raw emotion, real connections, and the little details, in our everyday lives. I want my children to look at these photos when they are older and feel something, not just see something. I want my photos to tell stories, years and years down the road.
GET THE LOOK
To help your photos look cohesive, timeless, and effortless, here are some tips to guide you outfits and styling
Stick to a Color Palette: Choose 3-4 complementary colors for the whole family. This helps your photos feel cohesive without being too “matchy matchy”
Keep Hair Simple and Clean: Natural hairstyles photograph best. Avoid complicated updos or styles that require constant adjustment.
Shoes are optional
Non glare glasses will keep the glare at bay
Color Balance: Parents in neutrals, kids in brighter pops of color work beautifully. Avoid dressing everyone in the exact same colors.
Comfort is Key
Texture & Layers: Add subtle textures like knits, denim or linen for depth.
Avoid Large Logos & Busy Patterns: Simple patterns and solid colors photograph better and keep the focus on faces and emotions.
Plan for Weather and Location: Consider the session setting and weather. Light, breathable fabrics for summer; Cozy layers for Fall/Winter.
Who doesn't love Pinterest? Pinterest is my go to for styling examples.
I have created a few boards dedicated to help my clients choose a right style.
I have links of my favorite dresses. Color Pallets. I suggest being yourself,
but bumping it up a notch. I also have a small Client Closet. If you're interested

If you plan to get a haircut , its best to do so, one week prior to your session.

Pets are part of the family, and I would actually LOVE for you to bring them along. To help them be their best selves during our time together, i suggest giving them a little exercise or playtime before the session.
What To Expect
As a lifestyle photographer, my goal is to capture authentic moments, not stiff poses. I encourage my clients to forget the camera is even there and simply enjoy time together.
During our session, I will do my best to guide you with fun prompts and gentle direction to inspire natural interaction, laughter, and connection.
My focus is to provide you with a comfortable, stress-free experience.
I tend to schedule sessions about 1-2 hours before the sunsets, during what photographer’s call “golden hour”. This is when the light is soft, warm, and flattering.
Shooting midday can create harsh sunlight, unflattering shadows and squinty eyes. If we must shoot during mid-day, i tend to lean towards a shaded area or hope for an overcast day to keep the light soft.
If the weather does not cooperate, don’t worry - we can always reschedule for the perfect day to ensure your session looks its absolute best.
FUN IS NOT OPTIONAL: There will be plenty of laughing and tickling
